Project 5 Remix

This is my remix for Project 5. For this project we had to take one of our old songs and remix it using gross beat. I chose Project 5 because i think it was my best song. For this prioject I took the drum pattern and put it in gross beat and played with it until it sounded good. I think my remix sounds better than my original.

Project 7

For this Project we had to create a dubstep. I made my kick drums and added a couple kicks for different beats. After that I made a synth and made a beat that was faster than the beat so it sounded good in the background. That is as far as I got but if I had more time I would've created a pitch envelope and and made the drop. Then I would've came in with the wobble bass and rose it up until the song ended.

Project 6

This is my project 6. For this project we needed to make a c chord throughout the project.l For this I created a synth that would make a nice transition throughout. To be Continued.

Project 5

This is my project 5 and for this project I wanted something that really clicked. So, first I made my pitch envelope for my first pattern which was the pattern that almost sounded like a banjo. It didnt sound like a banjo at first but when I added the fx tab to it, it started to sound more like a banjo. Then to top it off I changed the way the wave was shaped and made it rise really fast and then drop off to make it have a plucking sound. For the other pattern I used the volume envelope for it. I made the synth and at first it needed some work. So what I did was I added the cutoff filter to it to make it have almost a whiney sound to it. After that I just changed the shape of the wave so it was almost the opposite of the other pattern. It starts out really high then drops down fastly and then stays at a low pitch. Then I put it all together and got my project.

Project 4

This is my project 4 that i used mostly the zap feature for the 3x osc. After I used the zap feature I used the x-y controller on it to give it a nice effect on it. For the filter I used the cutoff to make it sound techno-ish. Then I felt like the beat needed more so I added a kick and hat to it to make the beat be a little more smoother. Then I put it all together and when I put it together I made it build up until the end and then made it drop off and fade out at the end.

Project 3

I didn't really have an inspiration for this project, I just wanted something that sounded like a funky beat, but with some intensity. So, first I put in channels sim synth and fpc and put in fpc drumandbass 02 to give it a fast sounding beat. Then, I used the riff machine for the sim synth channel and came up with a beat that went along good with the fpc loop. Next, I took the sim synth and used the cut filter and set it at different levels so each pattern would sound different. After that I changed the pitch of each pattern so they would contrast even more. For the last pattern I just left the kick for the drums and took out everything else from the fpc loop so it would be a nice fade out.

Project 2

My inspiration for this project was Sean Amm. For this project Sean made a smiley face as a song and I listened to it and the beat sounded good. So, next i just changed a couple patterns and kept the beat and tweaked the song a little bit so it sounded good. This is not a good way of making music and I dont recommend using this strategy for writing music but in my case it worked. Thank you Sean. Also, my transposition stayed the same for the first pattern and for the second pattern I turned the first pattern way up so the lowest note on pattern 2 was higher than the highest on pattern 1. Then, for pattern 3 I took pattern 1 and turned it way down so the highest note on pattern 3 was lower than the lowest note on pattern 1. The patterns were completely different and made the song contrast but it made a good sounding song. For chopping, I used the chopping file trance 6 because it made sort of a dance sound which made a good beat for the whole song. Then after the song was put together I tweaked it, added a couple effects, and thats my song.
